Getting Started

New to MCQplex? Start here.

MCQplex (ΰ€Έΰ€Ύΰ€°ΰ€₯ΰ₯€) is Nepal's first gamified exam preparation platform for Grades 8, 9, and 10. It offers CDC and NEB curriculum-aligned practice tests, real-time analytics, daily streaks, XP levels, leaderboards, and head-to-head duels. It is designed for three audiences: students preparing for SEE and grade exams, parents who want to support their child's progress, and schools that need class-level performance analytics.
The free tier is completely free with no credit card required and no time limit. It includes: practice tests (2 chapters per subject per month), 1 full mock test per month (up to 10 attempts per template), leaderboard participation, streaks, XP progression, and basic results feedback. The paid premium upgrade costs NPR 50/month and adds unlimited access plus advanced features.
MCQplex covers all 5 core SEE subjects for Grades 8, 9, and 10:
  • Science & Technology
  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Nepali
  • Social Studies & Health, Population and Environment (HPE)
Optional subject coverage is planned for a future release.
No download is needed. MCQplex works entirely in any web browser β€” on desktop, tablet, or mobile phones including low-end Android devices. A mobile app is currently in development; the browser version is fully functional in the meantime. You can add MCQplex to your phone's home screen via your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option for an app-like experience.
Yes. The exam engine is specifically built for Nepal's connectivity reality. Once a test loads, it runs locally β€” your answers are saved and progress is preserved even if your connection drops mid-exam. You will not lose your work on a dropped connection.
You can sign up with Google (one click, no form required) or with an email address and OTP verification. Currently, an email or Google account is needed to create an account. Phone-number-only signup is under consideration for a future release.

For Students β€” Learning & Exam Prep

Questions about practice, analytics, streaks, and duels.

Textbooks and tuition teach content. MCQplex measures whether you have actually learned it β€” and at which cognitive level. The results breakdown tells you if you can recall facts (Knowledge level) but fail to apply concepts (Application level), for example. This diagnostic precision means your next study session can be focused exactly where it is needed, rather than reviewing everything equally.
Yes. All questions are mapped to Nepal's CDC curriculum and tagged using Bloom's Taxonomy levels β€” the same cognitive framework used in NEB and SEE evaluations. Full mock test templates mirror the SEE paper structure in terms of subject coverage, question format, and difficulty weighting.
Yes. You can select any subject and chapter for a focused chapter-level practice test, or choose a full subject mock, or a complete SEE simulation. The results analytics show you chapter-by-chapter accuracy, so you always know which chapter to prioritize next.
After every test, the results page shows each question with the correct answer highlighted. Your overall performance is broken down by CDC Bloom's level β€” for example, "87% accuracy on Knowledge, 42% on Application" β€” so you understand not just what you got wrong, but why (which type of thinking you need to practise).
  • Streaks: Track consecutive days of practice. Longer streaks earn XP multipliers. Miss a day and your streak resets.
  • XP (Experience Points): Earned on every test. Higher scores, harder questions, and streak multipliers give more XP.
  • Levels: XP accumulates to unlock levels (e.g. Scholar, Contender, Champion). Your level is shown on your public profile.
  • Badges: Milestone achievements (e.g. "7-Day Streak", "Science Pro", "Duel Winner") displayed on your profile.
The public leaderboard ranks students by weekly XP earned. Your username and level are visible. Your individual test scores are not displayed publicly β€” only your XP rank. If your school uses MCQplex, teachers can see individual student performance in the school dashboard, but the public leaderboard only shows XP rankings.
H2H duels let you challenge any other student to a real-time 1v1 test on a subject and chapter of your choice. Both students answer the same randomly selected questions under the same time limit. The winner gets bonus XP and a duel badge. H2H requires the premium plan (NPR 50/month) or an active school institutional subscription.
Free plan: up to 10 attempts per test template. Premium plan (NPR 50/month or school subscription): uncapped retakes. The 10-attempt limit applies to both free and school-enrolled users β€” it is removed only by the personal premium upgrade or institution plan.

For Parents

Safety, monitoring, and supporting your child.

MCQplex is compliant with Nepal's Privacy Act 2075 and the Child Rights Act 2075. For students under 18, only the minimum data needed is collected: name, grade level, and test scores. We do not collect home addresses, phone numbers (for students), or financial information. We never sell data to third parties. You can request full deletion of your child's account at any time via Settings > Privacy. See our Minor Data Notice for complete details.
Your child can share their performance PDF report directly from the results page with one click β€” no account is needed on your side to view it. If your child's school uses MCQplex, teachers and the principal also have access to individual student dashboards, which they can share with parents at parent-teacher meetings.
No. MCQplex is a practice and diagnostic supplement β€” not a teaching platform. It works best alongside classroom learning and tuition. Its value is in identifying specific gaps (e.g. "weak at Application-level Science questions in Chapter 7") so that study time β€” whether in tuition or independently β€” is focused where it actually matters.
Research on spaced practice shows that 20–30 minutes of focused daily practice consistently outperforms long cramming sessions. MCQplex's streak system is intentionally calibrated for short daily sessions β€” even one chapter quiz per day builds measurable improvement over a semester. The gamification is designed to create a daily habit, not to encourage hours of screen time.
No. MCQplex is an exam preparation platform with zero user-generated content in public feeds. All questions are written and reviewed by qualified teachers. The only social features (leaderboard, H2H duels) show usernames and XP scores β€” no messaging, no chat, no social profile browsing. Usernames are moderated for appropriateness.

Schools & Institutions

For principals, administrators, and teachers evaluating MCQplex for their school.

School plans are priced per school (flat monthly fee), not per student. Each plan has a maximum student capacity β€” Starter (50), Basic (150), Standard (350), Institution (unlimited). If you grow beyond your plan's capacity, you can upgrade at any time and we prorate the difference.
  • Starter (up to 60 students): NPR 1,500/mo or NPR 18,000/yr
  • Basic (up to 150 students): NPR 3,000/mo or NPR 36,000/yr
  • Standard (up to 350 students): NPR 5,000/mo or NPR 60,000/yr
  • Institution (unlimited): NPR 8,000/mo or NPR 96,000/yr
Annual plans are equivalent to 10 months of billing β€” you get 2 months free. Government schools are eligible for a 75% discount on all tiers (NPR 375 to NPR 2,000/month).
Teachers can build custom exam templates from the existing question bank and assign them to specific classes on any plan. Custom question submission (teachers writing new questions for the bank) is available on Standard and Institution plans β€” submitted questions go through a QA review by the MCQplex content team before going live.
MCQplex is compliant with Nepal's Privacy Act 2075. Student data is processed securely with role-based access controls and encryption at rest and in transit. If your school cancels, you can request a full data export before account closure. All school data is deleted within 30 days of contract termination unless a data retention request is made. See our School Data Agreement for full details.
Yes. Schools that complete a demo call are eligible for a 30-day free pilot β€” full access to their chosen plan tier with no card required. If you do not see measurable value in 30 days, you cancel with nothing owed. Contact us to arrange your pilot.
Yes. All institutional plans can be invoiced β€” monthly or annually. We accept bank transfer, eSewa, and Khalti. Specify your preferred payment method when contacting us through the schools page form.
All plans include access to self-service setup guides and video walkthroughs. Institution plans include a live teacher training session (online or in-person in Kathmandu valley) at no extra cost. Any plan can add a one-time training session as an add-on β€” contact us for pricing.

Content & Quality

Questions about the question bank, curriculum alignment, and accuracy.

Questions are written by qualified subject-specialist teachers with NEB curriculum experience. All questions go through a multi-stage QA review β€” content accuracy check, CDC taxonomy tagging verification, and a difficulty calibration review β€” before going live on the platform.
Yes. Every question is mapped to a specific chapter in the CDC Grade 8, 9, or 10 curriculum, and tagged to one of four Bloom's Taxonomy levels as defined in Nepal's CDC framework: Knowledge, Understanding, Application, and Higher Ability. This matches the exact cognitive breakdown used in official SEE and NEB evaluations.
New questions are added weekly. The current question bank covers the full CDC curriculum for all 5 subjects across Grades 8–10, with ongoing expansion in question depth and variety. Major curriculum updates by NEB are incorporated within 30 days of the official revision publication.
Use the "Report Question" button visible on any question during or after a test. Reports are reviewed by the content team within 48 hours. If a question is confirmed incorrect, it is pulled from active tests immediately and corrected before reactivation. All valid reports earn the reporter a small XP reward as thanks.
The platform interface is currently available in English. Nepali-language subject questions (for the Nepali subject) are written in Nepali script. Full Nepali-language UI localization and Hindi language support are on the roadmap for 2026–2027.
